Given the uncertainty with the fires and the current NSW State of Emergency, we have no choice but to cancel the Tathra Wharf to Waves for 2020.
We cannot guarantee the safety of our volunteers, many of whom are helping victims of the fire, or our visitors.
We will update you within the next week about refunds and other logistics.
Bike riders leave Bega and travel over Dr George Mountain to Tathra through some of the most breathtaking bushland scenery the Sapphire Coast has to offer.
Entries are accepted on-line until the Friday before the event, and then from 3.30pm in person up until 4.30pm on Saturday, the day of the ride, at the Tarraganda Fire Shed, Tarraganda Lane, just past Bega Country Club.
All riders must register their attendance at the Tarraganda Fire Shed by 4.30pm. Slower riders will depart from the Tarraganda Fire Shed 15 minutes ahead of the main bunch.
The event finishes at the Tathra Surf Club where refreshments are available. All entrants who complete the ride will go into a Random Draw for great prizes donated by Tathra Beach and Bike and Lake Crackenback Resort.
This year, Aaron from Tathra Beach and Bike handed over a Trek bike to Sebastian Webber. Thank you to all our entrants who come and support this fun ride each year, and to our sponsors.
